American Cell Sites is bringing Renewable Energy to the telecommunications industry and beyond.
American Cell Sites is now an authorized distributor and installer of the Energy Ball®.
The Energy Ball is a low-noise (indistinguishable from background noise) wind turbine that is characterized by curved rotor blades which are attached to the rotor hub at both ends. As the Energy Ball rotor turns it resembles a sphere. The wind blows parallel to the rotor hub through the rotor blades of the Energy Ball. This is in contrast to the classic shaped "Darrieus" or vertical axis wind turbines. The effective wind area of the Energy Ball is also greater than that of comparably sized straight blade wind turbine. This is due to the curved rotor blade design of the Energy Ball which creates the "Venturi" effect as wind is accelerated through the blades. In addition to the venturi effect the wind also impacts the Energy Ball blades twice, once at the front of the ball entering and again at the back of the ball exiting.
The unusual and exceptional aerodynamics characteristics of the Energy Ball translates into a higher aerodynamic efficiency compared to that of conventional wind turbine designs. The Energy Ball also starts producing electric energy at very low wind speeds compared to conventional wind turbines and therefore has a very low stand still time. The more time rotating results in more power produced.
The Energy Ball can be installed as a single stand-alone unit or in groups. The Energy Ball can also be used in conjunction with other Renewable Energy products like solar panels. American Cell Sites can custom design a Renewable Energy package that meets your needs. These Renewable Energy packages can allow you to connect directly to your electric power grid through a patented power inverter. The power inverter has the capability of putting the excess power produced by your Renewable Energy package directly back into the power grid. This will allow you to take advantage of "Net Metering" if offered by your power company. Net metering can not only reduce your electric bill but in cases where your production is greater than your consumption it can allow you to get a money back from your power company at the end of your billing cycle.

"Net Metering"
"Net Metering" is a simplified method of metering the energy consumed and produced at a home or business that has its own renewable energy generator, such as a wind turbine and/or solar panels. Under net metering, excess electricity produced by the your renewable energy source will spin the existing home or business electricity meter backwards, effectively banking the electricity until it is needed by you. This provides you with full retail value for all the electricity produced.
